Short-dated implied option volatilities have eased through the European morning, with an alleviation of upward pressure on spot helping weigh. The O/N is 7.5/9.5 last, having been 8.5/11.0 earlier.
The 1-week is now 6.2/6.8, having been 6.5/7.5 at the European open. Seven days ago, the 1-week plumbed an all-time low of 4.8/5.4 (Nov 6). On the exotic front: there is conjecture that barriers might reside at 1.2925 and 1.2950. Confirmed triggers are touted up at 1.2980, and 1.3000.
EUR/USD last traded at 1.3000 back in April 2005. 1.2980 marks the 2006 high (June 5). 1.2901 was Friday's 12-week top.
